   If your printing requirements are normal and you don't need to use batch processing, double sided printing or magnetic stripes, then Professional Edition would be the proper choice. Otherwise, Premier Edition will be the software you should choose. 1. What are the licensing terms for Print Studio?
   A Print Studio license is a one concurrent user license. A single user license allows only one concurrent usage of the product within a site. A license key may not be shared between multiple sites. The Print Studio license agreement is available here.
   
   
2. How many licenses do I need?
   One license per Print Studio installation is typically required. If one person uses multiple PC's, such as a laptop and a workstation, they are permitted to install it in both locations as long as another user is not using Print Studio simultaneously with the same license key.    Yes, as long as only one user is using Print Studio at a time per license key.

   Print Studio supports more than 20 industry standard barcode symbologies including UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, ISBN, ISSN, Code 128, EAN-128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, Codabar, PostNet, MSI Plessy, Data Matrix, and PDF417. A complete list is also available.

   Print Studio complies with the barcode industry standards that have been developed for the different symbologies. In addition, Print Studio provides options to compensate for flaws introduced during the printing process such as adjustable wide-to-narrow bar ratio, bar size, ink-spread compensation, and more. Barcodes printed with Print Studio have been in use for years by small and large corporations alike for many different purposes including manufacturing, shipping, product labeling, and more.
   
   
4. Can I retrieve barcode data from my database?
   Yes, Print Studio allows you to import data from Microsoft Access, Excel, FoxPro, text files, or any ODBC/OLE DB compliant database such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL.
   
   
5. Can I print serialized barcodes using Print Studio?
   Yes, Print Studio provides a multitude of serialization options including counters based on decimal, hexadecimal, alphabetic, alphanumeric, binary, and various other counting systems. Additional options include setting a prefix and suffix, rollover, padding, and formatting options.
   
   
6. Can I create a barcode by extracting data from multiple database fields?
   Yes, Print Studio allows you to combine multiple database fields together with text and special control characters to form the barcode data, limited only by the requirements of the specific barcode standard.

1. Can I import text data from my database?
   Yes, Print Studio allows you to import text data from Microsoft Access, Excel, FoxPro, text files, or any ODBC/OLE DB compliant database such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL.
   
   
2. Can I combine regular text and text from a database together in a single text box?
   Yes, Print Studio allows you to combine any number of database fields and regular text in a single text box. You can also format and align sections of text independently of one another in the same text box.
   
   
3. Can I add rich text to my label?
   Yes, you can format rich text in a number of different ways, similar to what you would expect in a professional text editor such as Microsoft Word. You can set alignment, font characteristics, colors, styles, word-wrapping options, width scaling, font spacing, auto-sizing, display angles and much more.
   
   
4. What image formats are supported?
   Print Studio supports BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, WMP, PSD and many more.

6. Can I insert a photo from a database onto an ID Card?
   Yes, Print Studio can save and retrieve images from a database using any of three methods: images saved as binary data, images saved as OLE objects, and from a file path that points to the location of an image file. Print Studio can connect to any ODBC/OLE DB compliant database and also includes a standalone sample database and the ability to create a new database.
   
   
7. Can I edit images using Print Studio?
   Print Studio includes an integrated image manipulation tool that performs simple image manipulations such as cropping, flipping, and rotating an image. Print Studio can also automatically resize images to fit into a defined rectangular area.
   
   
8. Can I acquire images from a digital camera, webcam or scanner using Print Studio?
   Yes, Print Studio will work with any TWAIN or WIA compliant digital camera, webcam, or scanner. Images can be inserted directly into a database or onto an ID card to streamline the ID card creation process.
   
   Note: Different cameras and scanners have different capabilities. Some may be able to snap pictures directly from the Acquire Image dialog, while others may require that the picture be taken before the device is connected to the PC. Generally speaking, webcam's are often a good choice for capturing images for ID cards as they often allow images to be snapped through the TWAIN/WIA interface.
   
   
9. Can I save or export my Print Studio file as an image?
   Yes, Print Studio images files may be exported as JPG or BMP files. If you have an Adobe Acrobat printer installed, you may print to a PDF file to obtain a vector image output.

1. What types of databases does Print Studio support?
   Print Studio supports all databases that are ODBC/OLE DB compliant. One-click connectivity is provided to popular databases including Microsoft Access, Excel, FoxPro, and dBase. Print Studio has been verified to work with many databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Sybase and more.
   
   
2. Can I use my existing database?
   If your database is ODBC/OLE DB compliant then it should work with Print Studio. Contact us if you are unsure.
   
   
3. Can I view the contents of my database?
   Yes, Print Studio includes an integrated Database Editor and a record selection tool for searching records and ordering the results.
   
   
4. Can I edit my database?
   Print Studio supports editing for most database formats that support ODBC/OLE DB including Microsoft SQL Server, Access, Excel, FoxPro, dBase, Oracle, MySQL and more. New records can be easily added using the integrated Database Editor and existing records may be modified. Certain databases may not permit editing, but can still be viewed. Databases can also be opened as Read-Only to prevent accidental editing.
   
   
5. Does Print Studio include a standalone database?
   Yes, Print Studio includes a Microsoft Access compatible database for your use. Included in the database is sample data to demonstrate some of the features of Print Studio.
   
   
6. Can I create a new database using Print Studio?
   Yes, you can create and define new Microsoft Access databases using Print Studio. New records can be added easily using the integrated Database Editor.
   
   
7. Can I import data from my Microsoft Excel spreadsheet?
   Yes, Print Studio supports one click connectivity to Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
   
   
8. Can Print Studio import text files?
   Yes, Print Studio provides a wide range of data formatting options for correct data importation.

   Yes, Print Studio can connect to ODBC/OLE DB data sources using either a predefined DSN or UDL file, or by building a connection string.
   
   
10. Can I store images and photographs in a database?
    Yes, Print Studio supports both storing images in and retrieving images from a database as either binary data, an OLE object, or using an image path.
    
    Note: Storing image paths rather than image binaries is often a very good alternative as only the text containing the path to the image file is stored in the database. Databases such as Microsoft Access may suffer severe slowdown if more than a few image binaries are stored in the database.

   Print Studio supports laser, inkjet, thermal, PVC card, label, and any other Windows compatible printer.
   
   
2. Do I need to install any special drivers to print from Print Studio?
   No, Print Studio will work with any printer that has a Microsoft Windows driver. If Microsoft Windows is able to detect and install your printer, it should work with Print Studio.
   
   
3. Will Print Studio work with my PVC card printer?
   Print Studio can print to any Microsoft Windows compatible PVC card printer. Print Studio also includes integrated magnetic stripe and double-sided printing support for most PVC card printers including Zebra/Eltron, Ultra Magicard, Fargo, Datacard, Evolis and more.
